The sample format also help them to manage more easily their budget: 1 dose per day

A lot of products such as Coffee, shower gel, lotions, condiments…  exist in sachets format. It’s often sold in high frequency stores.

Yes, sachets help low-income communities yet it’s also a waste nightmare: The thin film of plastic and aluminium in a sandwich laminate form can’t be recycled and the success of the format means that there is million of those in the too small landfills.

Inspired by the “no packaging movement”, here is my ideas:

Imagine a new format for the hair and body care products:

Could we consider selling the product in capsules instead of sachets? The shopper could buy the number of doses he/she wants, it’s cheaper than a bottle and there is no waste.

Could the capsules be sold in dispenser to keep the quality and freshness of the product?
