This H&M gorgeous gown is made of plastic waste

Fashion is the second most polluting industry after oil. Some of the fashion companies are now trying to find some innovative solutions to act as a better player for the planet.

This gown is part of the H&M’s 2017 evening gown collection. The gowns are made of Bionic Yawn.

Bionic yarn comes from plastic waste found in waterways and shorelines, basically the ‘trash’ you see on littered ground. This includes items such as plastic bottles and grocery bags. Surprisingly, bionic yarn is incredibly soft and can be utilized in all types of outfits, from fancy dresses to regular pants. Bionic canvas is 30 percent stronger than regular cotton, while maintaining the look and feel of natural cotton canvas. It is highly resistant to water and stains.

Expect to see more example of plastic waste fashion in the coming years.
